Always wanted to learn the Tarot but overwhelmed by the complexity? An old hand looking for new ideas? This basic skills class introduces the history and artwork of the Tarot from its early roots to modern proliferation. Students will learn the structure of the deck, explore the Major and Minor Arcana, the suits and court cards, and learn some simple techniques for giving great readings to themselves and others. We will also explore the Tarot as a tool for ritual and meditation. This class is appropriate for students at all levels of experience. Students should bring a Tarot deck if they have one and a journal.
