I am breathing, I am willing, I am open
I am stepping out into the unknown
I am walking though uncertain, I am willing
I listen to the yearning of my soul.

Stepping off the cliff into the unknown, carrying only a small bag of tools and a belief that the next step will land safely; I embody the Fool, first trump of the Tarot, as I take this leap into the ether of the Internet.
The Fool's faith is simple, looking up and out, into a future rich with experience and challenge. That forward-looking outlook lends the Fool innocence, but he's not a Tabula Rasa and neither am I. I'm opening up to a new, public face for my work in the world, but I'm carrying the skills built over many years.
Unpacking that backpack, I find I'm already carrying the tools of my craft: I'm an effective, occasionally inspired priestess. I know the cards like I know my own dreams. In my pack too is my family: a husband who supports me in every possible way and children who challenge me to expand, grow and play each day as they do. Finally, of course, there's the embrace of community, friends and loved ones.
My infinite gratitude to Catya Belfer-Shevett, who took the raw text I handed her and turned it into this beautiful site. Also to Sandro Hawke, whose photos of me are more beautiful than the woman I see in the mirror, and to Emily Lawrence who designed the site logo.
