The snow kept me home from priestessing ritual tonight, though I was able to send my Persephone story to the group with Martin and Sarah, who passed it around and had everyone read a paragraph or two. Since it was written in Persephone's voice, passing it around gave everyone a chance to speak as her, which I think is lovely. Martin said it worked well, that the goddess was delightfully present and the magic powerful.
Here's hoping our next New Moon won't get slammed with weather the way the past two did.
For me, having a snow day has meant a surprising opportunity to work - my evening plans were forced to go ahead without me while I bowed to Mother Nature and stayed warm and safe indoors, and my mother took Rio for a long promised sleepover at Nana's house. Martin stayed with a friend in town.
So I'm alone. Blessedly able to work. I had momentum coming into the day and have done a lot of productive stuff. I'll go to bed tonight having seen results, and that's a great feeling. I'll also go to bed alone in the house for the second time in three years.
